PTS, Inc. is seeking a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide school-based services for a local school district in Delaware County:

Job Description/Hours:

  • Monday - Thursday approx. 4 hours per day for 5 weeks
  • Timeframe: 5 weeks between late June and early August 2022
  • Reimbursement for documentation, meeting attendance, and report writing
  • In-person; virtual/hybrid services will be limited
  • $48 to $52 per hour

School-Based Pediatric SLP Qualifications:

  • Valid state license as a provider of Speech-Language Pathology
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Teacher Certification
  • Child Abuse, Federal, and State Clearances

School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Responsibilities:

  • Implement specialized therapy treatment, techniques, and instruction in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) of students being served
  • Screen, evaluate, and write reports on student levels, strengths, needs, and progress using approved testing and assessment instruments
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) and multi-disciplinary team meetings to evaluate student needs/progress and to develop and/or revise individualized therapy interventions, objectives, and goals
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement classroom-based activities and instructional techniques to ensure carry-over of learning
  • Provide consultative services to parents in the therapy program of their child
  • Compile, maintain, and file all required student documentation and reports in compliance with deadlines, confidentiality laws, federal and state laws, State Board of Education regulations, and school administrative policies and procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research, theories, and practices associated with school-based therapy
