We are currently expanding our team of Speech-Language Pathologists in Bradenton, FL and have incredible full and part-time opportunities as well as CFY positions available for the 2018-2019 School Year.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree from an ASHA accredited university

  • FL state licensure or ability to obtain appropriate state licensure

  • Ability to evaluate and diagnose speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders

  • Ability to treat speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders in school-aged children

  • Personal commitment to driving positive outcomes for students

  • Collaborative minded professional with strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work and build strong relationships with parents, teachers and school administrators

  • Experience working in schools or with children a plus, but not required

We offer a highly structured supportive and safe environment for children and adolescents who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, family, and social challenges. The Hospital/Homebound school within the facility contracts with the Manatee County school district to provide a small classroom educational environment to residential patients. A 4:1 student to staff ratio is maintained throughout the school day for behavior support in the classroom with additional support from on-site psychiatrists, a board certified behavior analyst, therapists and a full medical team. We follow required state and county rules and regulations for a Hospital/Homebound site. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE/ WORK ENVIRONMENT Seeking a Secondary Teacher certified in English and/or Reading. Will consider any 6-12 content certification area with English/Reading instruction experience to work out of field. The teacher will use their knowledge of student development to be flexible and responsive to student learning by adjusting lessons, responding to student individual needs, and persisting in providing a variety of approaches when students have required instructional support.
