We are currently searching for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist in Stuart, FL to provide services in a K-12 school program.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree from an ASHA accredited university

  • Appropriate state licensure or ability to obtain appropriate state licensure

  • Ability to evaluate and diagnose speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders

  • Ability to treat speech, language and cognitive-communication disorders in school-aged children

  • Personal commitment to driving positive outcomes for students

  • Collaborative minded professional with strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work and build strong relationships with parents, teachers and school administrators

  • Experience working in schools or with children a plus, but not required

Directs patient participation in selected activities to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance of communication and swallowing; facilitates the learning of those skills and functions essential for optimal functioning. Collaborates with interdisciplinary treatment team. To effectively fulfill this position, candidate must meet the following requirements: * Have a minimum of a Master's degree or equivalent in Communications Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology. * One or more years in Pediatric medical speech pathology; demonstrated clinical competence in managing of specific population as needed. * Current, valid Florida Speech Pathologist license required -- Primary Source online verification required directly from State of Florida licensing database. * Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-ASHA). * Current acceptable CPR certification required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider OR American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer OR American Red Cross Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
