JOB SUMMARY:

SLP shall screen, evaluate, re-evaluate, discharge plan and make revisions in any established plan of care as supervised by the physician.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. ASHA (CCC) Certification Active state license required.

Excellent organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Possess current working knowledge of Functional Pathways policies and procedures, clinical programs with application skills to therapy disciplines.

Active CPR certification. Annual physical and TB skin test required.

This person will study, identify, measure and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders as part of the Department of Rehabilitation Services. Provides preventative, habilitative, rehabilitative, adaptive and palliative care to both inpatients and outpatients. Performs modified barium swallow assessments. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the institution as a whole. Minimum Education * Masters degree from an accredited program in Speech-Language Pathology. Minimum Experience * Four years experience with a team approach preferred. Required Credentials * (LC: SPEECH-TN) Licensure as a Speech Pathologist by State of Tennessee Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiometry required. Other Credentials * (NL) Member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred. * (NL) Certification as a Speech Pathologist by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred.
