ResponsibilitiesJOB SUMMARY: Provides quality patient care in accordance with the highest standards set forth by the ASHA Code of Ethics. Provides diagnosis, patient care and supervisory duties as requested by the Director. QUALIFICATIONS: The incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. QualificationsNewly licensed, (see below for licensure). During the externship, experience with adults and geriatric patients with dysphasia preferred. Experience with Modified Barium Swallow studies preferred. Annual and department specific training. Possess a current speech pathology license by the State of California Board of Medical Quality Assurance (or in the case of a CFY, be in the process of licensing). Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (or in the case of a CFY, be in the process of obtaining certification). or Must hold ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence and current valid license in Speech Pathology and/or Audiology. (LIC SLP) Current Basic Life Support for healthcare providers (CT CPRBLS)
