North Reading Public Schools is seeking a 0.8 FTE Speech and Language Pathologist starting in the 2024-2025 school year. This position primarily works with students at North Reading High School. This is a part-time position, roughly 28 hours/week.

North Reading Public School Educators first contractual day is September 3, 2024. New educators are to attend the two day new staff orientation on dates still to be determined.

Essential duties

  • Provide speech therapy services for elementary students in grades K-5

  • Collaborate with school psychologist, teachers, and parents/guardians to implement services as required by IEP's and 504 Plans

  • Provide comprehensive assessments and reports as necessary

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services, Building Principal, or Designee

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a related field preferred

  • Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Academic: Specialist Teacher-Speech Language and Hearing Disorders

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Collaborative working demeanor

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • At least three (3) years of relevant experience preferred

  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
