The Specialty Values Appraiser reports to the Specialty Values Manager and is responsible for the intake of specialty value appraisal requests and providing accurate and timely valuations for our Sellers. Additionally, the SVS will serve as a resource for the Field by identifying high value Specialty Lots and providing guidance on the marketing of these with both Operations and Sales. Occasional travel as needed.
Duties:
Review all incoming valuation request emails and system submissions including photos and specific information on damaged non-standard vehicles such as exotic cars, classic cars, heavy-duty trucks, boats, motorcycles, ATVs, RVs, and industrial equipment.
Research Copart sale data and other sources to determine accurate sales projections for the requestor.
Act as a resource and provide expert level guidance for all Sellers, the Sales, and Field
Required Skills & Experience:
Associate Degree or higher preferred
ASA Certification preferred
Three (3) years of Salvage or Insurance Industry with a minimum of one (1) year experience dealing directly with Specialty/Heavy Equipment
Computer Proficiency (MS Office Suite)
Excellent communication skills -- verbal and written
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to hire, train and develop employees
Typing at least 45 Words Per Minute
Basic 10 Key proficiency
Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
Ability to manage expenses with basic accounting and inventory management skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Managing multiple processes for employees
Conflict management skills
Valid Driver's license
Ability to travel as needed
Ability to respond to alarm calls as needed
Bilingual skill a plus
