What success looks like in this role:

The Specialty Sales Support Specialist is responsible for assisting Unisys sales and client executives to sell Unisys products/services into existing clients and new name accounts. They are responsible for ensuring that the sales and client executives have the required support to ensure that products/services are fully embedded into account plans and that we execute on the agreed account strategy. Responsible for the financial performance of products/services within a territory and is developing experience as a subject matter expert that will enable them to handle every aspect of a transaction. Deals would generally have a low level of complexity and a short sales cycle.

The entry level Specialty Sales Support Specialist position in our Enterprise Computer Systems group will provide you with an excellent understanding of what it takes to be a highly functional Sales Professional. Through our comprehensive program, you will gain exposure to many different areas of Sales and Sales operations, such as understanding customer requirements and translating them into customer quotes and proposals. Over time, you will be responsible for nurturing your assigned accounts and ensuring that we are maximizing Unisys penetration into each account. In addition, you will learn how to deal with the internal Unisys tools and processes required to support your accounts. The Specialty Sales Support Specialist will function as part of a dynamic team as well as have the opportunity to shine as an individual contributor. An example of some of your responsibilities are:

  • Assist with configurations and quotes, including the use of Salesforce to open and track all opportunities.

  • Responding to requests from our channel partners and customers for configurations, quotes, and contracts.

  • Work with our technical teams to respond to customer inquiries.

  • Prepare RFQ / RFP proposal responses.

  • Provide forecast updates on a regular basis.

  • Build and maintain key relationships with existing and new accounts.

  • Resolve issues that ensure we maintain momentum to the sales and fulfillment processes.

  • Expands and retains accounts while ensuring ongoing customer service is offered over the sales cycle.

Assigned and expected to support accounts with low levels of complexity. Demonstrates some independence with managing work.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • A bachelor's degree in business or information technology with a GPA of 3.0 or higher with prior work, intern, or co-op experience desired but not required.

  • MS Excel and PowerPoint skills are required; Exposure to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce are desired but not required

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail in work is a must as is the ability to set priorities and handle multiple deadlines

  • Are a Self-starter and demonstrates independence with managing work

  • Driven, enthusiastic, persistent, confident, and highly motivated.

  • Ability to work in a team environment, while also delivering independent results.

  • Must be a United States Citizen or have permanent resident status

  • Willingness to travel, as needed.
