VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic is accepting applications for a highly experienced Hospital Administrator to join our outstanding team of veterinary professionals.

The Hospital Administrator must believe in a team concept of leadership, valuing the opinion of staff and department supervisors to create a culture of excellent employee experience as well as superior client service and patient care. This includes: mentoring the staff and overseeing the business operations and maintenance of the facility; ensuring the business growth and profitability of the practice; and supporting the hospital's mission of delivering high quality patient care and exceptional client service.

The administrator must be "hands-on" and be willing to adjust responsibilities as the hospital staff, culture and client expectations change. Above all, the goal of the administrator is to work with the leadership team and Doctors to insure the highest quality medicine for our patients and a work environment that encourages employee growth.

Job Responsibilities

  • Direct and develop the veterinary, technical and administrative staff towards the goal of quality patient care and excellent client service; assist in the formulation of objectives and policies to ensure efficient and profitable hospital operations.

  • Oversee the hiring, reviewing, disciplining and terminating of professional staff, in accordance with and with the approval of the Regional Management team.

  • Review the P&L Report monthly and partner with the Hospital Medical Director to increase revenue and limit expenses; work with home office to prepare and submit the yearly budget (budget forecast, operating plan, cap-ex expenditures) and participate in the evaluation process with Regional Management team.

  • Model an "owner" mentality in hospital by demonstrating a willingness to assist all employees in making the practice a success; invest the necessary amount of time to accomplish the required responsibilities and ensure the smooth operation of the hospital.

  • Positively represent the hospital and VCA in the professional community and to the public.

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 3-5 years of managing a veterinary practice and financial budget management experience.

  • Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settings.

  • The ability to make decisions, delegate responsibility and achieve results with hospital team members.

  • Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude.

  • Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and deal with an environment of changing priorities.

Education and/or Experience: College Degree, MBA and CVPM is a plus. At least 3 years of previous veterinary hospital experience.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have previous computer skills, including Windows based software and Microsoft Office, online email, calendar, internet and practice management software.

VIEW JOBS 7/28/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-10-26T00:00 <p>Job Description:</p><p>We are seeking a highly motivated Full-Time Facility Maintenance Associate at VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic.</p><p>The Facility Maintenance Associate will work under the direction of the Hospital Administrator/Manager and will oversee repairs, maintenance and upkeep of the hospital facility.</p><p>Job Responsibilities:</p><ul><li><p>Identify maintenance needs and offer products and services to meet those needs</p></li><li><p>Oversee and coordinate equipment installation and construction projects to ensure specifications are met, as directed</p></li><li><p>Monitor performance of vendors under contract</p></li><li><p>Interface as liaison with contractors for building updates and improvements</p></li><li><p>Complete miscellaneous janitorial and landscaping duties</p></li><li><p>Perform miscellaneous repairs, heating, air conditioning, building repairs, emergency services</p></li><li><p>Maintain irrigation system, both landscaping and pastures</p></li><li><p>Perform maintenance, as needed, on perimeter and internal fence lines and gates</p></li><li><p>Perform seasonal tasks, (i.e., weeding, spraying, fertilizing, holiday decorations, etc.)</p></li><li><p>Maintain well and filtration systems</p></li><li><p>Handle adverse service situation appropriately and promptly, refer serious situations to supervisor or appropriate department</p></li><li><p>Provide supplemental building and grounds keeping support where outside vendor services are not utilized</p></li><li><p>Constantly develop greater knowledge in all areas of clinic operations, facilities and related systems</p></li><li><p>Perform other duties and assignments as required for organizational success.</p></li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li><p>Previous experience with facility repairs</p></li><li><p>Ability to communicate and coordinate facility maintenance needs</p></li><li><p>IT troubleshooting experience preferred</p></li></ul> VCA Antech, Inc.
