Chemours is seeking a Specialty Fluids Engineer to join our growing Thermal & Specialty Solutions team! This position will report directly to the Global Technical Service Manager at our Newark, DE location.

In Thermal & Specialty Solutions (TSS), we harness next-generation, low-Global Warming Potential (GWP) technology to provide market driven innovations to customers in the areas of Refrigerants, Propellants, Fire Protection, and Foam Blowing Agents used in broad array of systems for the building, manufacturing, and construction segments, as well as Mobile and Stationary heating and cooling systems. Our technical organization consists of experts in the areas of fluorine, catalysis, process development, analytical and formulation science, and application development to name a few.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide global technical service support for the specialty fluids product line, supporting applications in precision cleaning, heat transfer, and carrier fluid applications. Market segments include Aerospace, Data Center, Defense, Electronics, and SeminCon applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Legal), as well as customers and industry partners.

  • Recommend solutions for new applications based on customer CTQs and regulatory requirements.

  • Design and lead execution of product test trials for potential customers and communicate results through verbal and written communication.

  • Maintain and advance intellectual property position with patent applications on new product formulations and end-uses and monitor competitive activity.

  • Promote SF solutions and assist in the development of new product applications through industry training, presentations, literature development.

  • Support regulatory / advocacy activities.

  • Represent Chemours at industry associations, standards development organizations, tradeshows, conferences.

  • Investigate product quality and performance issues as needed.

  • Knowledge or the desire to learn fluorochemical science and related application technologies.

The following is required for this role:

  • Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering degree with 2 years of work experience (advanced degree is a plus).

  • Knowledge of thermal systems, precision cleaning, or carrier fluid applications.

  • Relevant experience working on heat transfer/mass transfer

  • Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to work well with all levels in the organization.

  • Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple, complex, time-sensitive projects.

  • Ability to work in a team environment with high degree of initiative and self-motivation and flexibility to monitor and move projects forward quickly and safely.

  • Travel 10 - 20% of the time to customer/partner sites and industry events.

Pay Range (in local currency):

$81,715.00 - $127,680.00

Chemours Level:

24

Annual Bonus Target:

6%
