Responsibilities

In this role, the focus of the Educator team should be on educational activities that support disease understanding and increase knowledge about the safe and effective use of our clients medicines

As part of our clients commitment to patients, the Specialty Educator will execute Patient Education Programs, providing supplemental information about a medicine that has already been prescribed and/or the related disease that is within scope for that medicine.

As guided by approved resources, engagements with HCPs may include educational discussions about:

  • Disease information to support better understanding of disease state and appropriate adherence to medicines. Disease state information shared must be aligned to a condition treated by a medicine, and with such information to be consistent with the FDA-approved label for that medicine

  • Clinical and/or product information to support new patients getting started on a medicine and that supports its safe and effective use in patients

As guided by approved resources, engagements with patients may include educational discussions about:

  • For those patients identified (post-prescription) by the HCP as interested in receiving supplemental educational information from the client, Educators may engage with those patients to obtain the required consents to participate in the Patient Education Program(s) and to deliver the Patient Education Program(s). The associated HCP/Account will coordinate scheduling of patients.

  • For those patients that self-identify and request (post-prescription) supplemental educational information from the client, Educators may engage with that patient to coordinate scheduling/logistics of a Patient Education Program, obtain the required consents to participate in the Patient Education Program(s), and deliver the Patient Education Program(s).

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 year BA/BS degree from an accredited institution

  • RN, NP, PA, RPh, MD, CRT, DO or Respiratory Therapist (Actively licensed or certified)

  • History of patient care

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in pharmaceutical and/or health care related industry

  • Valid driver's license with ability and willingness to accommodate overnight travel up to 75%. (Ability to travel to meetings, trainings, and programs)

Preferred Qualifications |

Skills:
  • 2 years clinical experience preferred

  • Experience with infused/injectable medications preferred

  • Prior experience in an educator role

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/planning/organization

  • Organizational awareness-demonstrated ability to work across matrix

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, coaching and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated analytical skills business acumen

  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills
