Facilitates patient flow from point of entry to destination in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
Obtains specific information to generate an accurate financial and demographic record for patients that will ensure maximum reimbursement and clinical outcomes.
Schedules appointments, interviews patients for appropriate medical information, explains charges and policies of the department/hospital, validates and enters charges into appropriate systems, and collects necessary payment.
Answers incoming calls and directs patients and visitors appropriately.QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the AHA preferred.
1-2 years of relevant experience in a health care setting preferred.
Requires ability to learn and retain medical coding; ICD-10; CPT coding experience preferred.
Requires ability to interpret insurance information; knowledge of clinical practices and medical terminology preferred.
Requires basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). This position has the potential of being a Full Time, benefited role as we progress through our expansion.

This position applies accepted accounting procedures to the monitoring,maintaining and reporting of client financial transactions to ensure individualfinances are managed effectively and appropriately, and that financial recordsare maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles andcompany guidelines. Essential Job Functions * Maintainsindividual (consumer) financial records including financial reports, bankstatements, budgets, and benefit reporting, and ensures that financial recordsare complete and accurate. * Conductsmonthly reviews and completes financial statements for individuals by request.Ensures individual client finances are managed effectively and appropriately. * Ensuresindividual total assets remain within the designated maximum amount to maintainMedicaid and other funding benefits. * Paysindividual bills (e.g.: rent, electricity, water, gas, garbage, cable, co-payson medical and medication, etc) on or before assigned due dates. * Coordinatesfinancial services for new individuals and all individuals leaving services. * Completesapplication for, report changes to, and coordinates benefit information for eachindividual as necessary (Social Security Benefits, Public Financial Assistance,Food Stamps, Rent Subsidy, etc).
