POSITION TITLE: SPECIALIST: TRANSPORTATION SPECIAL NEEDS ROUTER (WESTSIDE LOCATION)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for reviewing transportation forms, locating appropriate vehicle for transportation, review any other pertinent information, and routing the student. They will keep routes updated by either adding or removing students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Incumbent must achieve the following outcomes with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Review special needs forms and decide on the appropriate means of transportation.

• Route special needs buses and SUVs based on needs and location.

• Learn and implement new routing software/s for special needs routing.

• Audit all special needs bus routes in accordance to State regulations and make adjustments as necessary.

• Assist with any other routing needs when necessary

• Helps implement, along with Supervisor and Manager, any routing procedures.

• Serve as a Router, Driver and/or Dispatcher as needed

• Maintain Class B CDL with P and S endorsements

• Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

• Proficient Math Skills

• Proficient skills in Microsoft suite, Google suite, and other computer programs

• Transportation Experience

• Driving Experience

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required, some college including education/training courses preferred

• Three or more years of computer experience

• Acquire CDL class B with P and S endorsements within 90 days of hire. We provide training.
