Coordinate the employee benefit programs for the district including new and annual enrollment processes. Conduct employee benefit presentations.

Maintain records and assist employees to ensure effective use of benefits. Coordinate with payroll department and third-party administrators to reconcile data. Develop and implement employee recognition and appreciation programs.

Maintain professional and effective communication with employees, campuses, central administration and the community to ensure an organized and friendly atmosphere in the human resources office.

Qualifications:

Education-

High School Diploma or GED

Some college preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills -

Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Professional, effective oral and written communication skills

Ability to manage and coordinate diverse functions through department/campus administrators

Knowledge in the areas of insurance programs, COBRA, cafeteria plans, and 403(b) programs

Knowledge of federal, state, and local school accounting/payroll procedures

Proficient with computers and software packages: Skyward, Microsoft Word, and Excel

Experience -

Three or more years of experience in Human Resource, payroll, and/or insurance management Salary Range: The employee handbook and salary range for 2019-2020 are currently under review.

Essential Job Results: % of Time and Results Expected and Duties Performed: 75% - Increase public awareness of ETCOG agencies, programs and services by working with the Communications Director in aligning public relations and communications strategies throughout the organization; developing written and graphic content for numerous agency websites, blogs, and newsletters; fulfilling agency photography needs; maintaining the organization's social media accounts including content creation and curation, as well as responding to the public in a timely manner; creating, editing and developing agency video content for web and social media distribution; identifying and developing relationships within ETCOG staff, media personnel, community partners and agencies to promote services and events; coordinating events and other duties as assigned. 15% - Promote cooperative relationships with the media by assisting in the development of agency news releases, media advisories and preparation for press conferences; coordinating media requests and follow-up; serving as the secondary media contact for ETCOG as needed. 15% - Ensure compliance of Public Information Act and Open Meetings Act to allow public freedom of information by drafting replies to correspondence pertaining to public information which includes performing research activities and ensuring accurate information is provided to the public while adhering to the requirements contained in these acts.
