Office Depot, an industry leading provider of office supplies, is looking for experienced Supply Chain professionals who can make a positive impact on our overall network.

Our Supply Chain Specialists interface with state of the art technology and computer systems such as Microsoft Office 365, GMillenia, Oracle, and Elementum on a daily basis.; Those systems are used to provide critical communications between all aspects of the operation to resolve customer issues.; These aspects include but not limited to transportation, operations, front line customer service, CC and AB billing, loss prevention, and potentially external customers.

Using a combination of critical thinking and analytical skills, our Supply Chain Specialists will not only work to recover singular customer orders that contain defects, but also utilize their knowledge and experience to reduce future potential defects by identifying trends and root causing to improve processes and reduce overall company shrink.; Help execute and evaluate trial work in specific warehouses across the country to help reduce and eliminate common supply chain issues, such as late deliveries, returns not picked up, and replacement orders shipping in error.;

  • Delivery Only processing
  • Orders not delivered complete require review and either approval or deletion of the customer request for new shipment.
  • Must be completed by COB local time

  • Determine whether or not the keyed DO should be approved or deleted based on thorough research and investigation

  • Approve DOs for concealed shortage, orders not shipped, damage, not delivered, or lost in transit

  • Delete DO's when duplicate requests exist, original order delivered after DO request, or when valid POD is available.

  • Must assign a reason code for each approval and deletion so that supply chain can quickly and efficiently root cause trends within their market.

  • Must send reverse resolution form for all DOs deleted for cause for customer advisement

  • Comm Boxes (East/West) - Global mailboxes for general concerns in order to resolve customer issues.; Comm Team is the liaison between multiple departments within Office Depot and communication is critical to success.

  • Upload Order exceptions for large order delivery failure or LOD

  • Manage LOG HOTs across the network as part of disaster recovery efforts

  • Organize OS&D (over/short/damage reports provided by carriers)

  • Manage critical credit only requests from ECR, account managers, and customer service.

  • Communicate issues to carriers and DC's for Loss Prevention

  • Work with contract maintenance to update accounts and correct misrouted orders when needed

  • Provide update to dispute resolution (account billing and OMS credit card and other)

  • Assist carriers, executive customer relations, sales support, account managers and DC personnel with concerns and order issues (ex. Gate code needed, address invalid, carrier cannot deliver as product tendered was damaged, etc.)

  • Communicate with replenishment on stock issues

  • Service Requests

  • When a customer calls into the front-end Customer Service team with a general complaint, it is recorded and categorized. The request is then sent to the Comm Team to be researched and resolved.
  • Resolve various customer issues reported through the Front Line Customer Service via the EBS Case Management System.

  • Communicate with carriers and internal Depot teams to achieve a swift and decisive resolution for the customer.

  • Research and analyze data to reduce common service request errors

  • Late Delivery and Return Not Picked Up

  • Customers may call into front line customer service to specifically complain their order was not delivered or a return was not picked up.
  • Bridge communication between carriers and Office Depot internal teams to ensure the customers concern is resolved.

  • Obtain proof of completion for returns not picked up and late delivery reports from the carrier(s)

  • Credit Only processing

  • Credits pending approval or deletion for customers who have not received orders, require billing corrections, or require satisfaction credits.
  • Research requested credits to determine validity and process appropriately.; These include but are not limited to delivery fees, price variance, miscellaneous fees, and general credit requests.

  • Research and work with reconciliation teams to determine if requested credit should or should not impact inventory and modify credit accordingly.; This helps reduce shrink company wide.

  • Approve credits for refused orders, delivery failure issues, pricing errors, billing error orders not delivered in part or in whole, delivery fees, VW and non-code that do not auto release, print department orders, drop-ship orders not delivered, defective/ damaged product

  • Advise transportation on possible claim issues

  • Any credit not approved requires reverse CRF be sent for customer advisement


  • High School or equivalent

  • Supply chain background preferred

The City of Signal Hill is now accepting applications for part-time, seasonal employment for the Summer Recreation (Day Camp) Program. The ideal candidate is energetic, caring and supportive with enthusiasm and passion for working with youth. Candidates should submit one application and it will be evaluated and qualified at the appropriate Recreation Leader I/II level based on the education and experience records listed on the application. This position will work approximately 15 - 39 hours per week during the 2019 summer season. * Must be available Monday-Friday 7:30 am – 6:30 p.m. between May 6 - August 30, 2019. Hours vary and may be required to work on weekends. Panel interviews are tentatively scheduled on May 9, 2019. Under the direction of the Recreation Specialist and Recreation Coordinator, supervise, instruct and plan age-appropriate activities for summer camp. Example of Duties Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act may include, but are not limited to the following characteristic duties, responsibilities, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Recreation Leader I * Conduct and supervise recreational activities including excursions, crafts, games, lead camp songs, team and individual sports. * Provide activity instruction and guidance; demonstrate activity; model appropriate behavior. * Render aid and assistance to participants, intervene in altercations and arguments, and provide comfort and first aid when needed. * Assist in planning and scheduling activities. * Maintain participant attendance records. * Inspect facilities, grounds, and equipment. * Assist in aquatic activities. * Prepare accident/incident reports. * Enforce rules and regulations to assure the safety and welfare of participants. * Conduct inspections of buildings, vehicles, facilities, and equipment on a daily basis to ensure sites are safe and clean; recommend actions to supervisor. Recreation Leader II * Plan, promote and conduct activities. * Instruct and supervise program participants. * Provide guidance and lead Recreation Leader I staff in programs and activities. * Model appropriate behavior to motivate and inspire program participants. * Clean up program activity area; returns supplies, tables, chairs and equipment to appropriate places. * Assist in aquatic activities. * Provide customer service as needed including information regarding programs, related schedules, fees, etc. * Prepare accident/incident reports, payment charts, receipts and receipt logs. * Assist in facilitating adult or youth sports leagues, summer youth camp program, summer food program, senior citizen activities or similar programs. * Maintain files, rosters, liability forms, and program documents as necessary. * Provide supervision of building or outdoor park area during rentals. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS Perform various related duties as required including general cleaning, preparing snacks and maintain site program supplies. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED with six months to one year or more of experience working with children in group settings. Experience may include volunteer work. * One year of coursework from a college or technical school desirable. * Any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. * A valid California driver's license required. Licenses and Certifications CPR/First Aid certification highly desirable and must be obtained within two weeks of hire date. The City will offer two CPR/AED off-site training on May 22 or June 4, 2019, on a volunteer basis. The training day will not be paid and individuals will be responsible for their own transportation to the training.
