The primary focus of the position is to actively promote Supply Chain objectives throughout the organization. The individual will be responsible for Supply Chain functions of Inventory Planning and associated MRP functions. In addition, working knowledge of the SAP Material Master and its interactions with production planning and inventory management. The functional core competencies of this role include lean material flow, inventory controls, cross-functional planning, and continuous improvement. The channels through which this role will execute include the Hoshin Project Planning Team, Integrated Processing Teams (IPTs) and the Value Stream Management at the site. The success of this role will be aligned with and measured to achieve our Annual Site and Corporate Goals.


General Responsibilities:

  • Administration of MRP in SAP for MRO inventory

  • Monitor, analyze and adjust inventory level settings of MRO items to optimize inventory

  • Work with end users and procurement to resolve supply issues of MRO items

  • Aid in determining Bill of Material(BOM) requirements for product changes and new products

  • Long range Forecasting with respect to inventory requirements related to site operations

  • Coordinate month end/quarter end activities with Finance

  • Coordinate with internal Logistics and CMO Management for adherence to Master Production Schedule

  • Responsible for overseeing the process for non-conforming materials and associated reports for expired materials and assist with management of destruction process

  • Oversee the Lansing site cycle count program and annual physical inventory and reconciliation

  • Create, revise, and route associated Departmental SOP's as needed

  • Act as a back-up for performing site Master Scheduling activities

  • Create process orders for production

  • Create and maintain demand management and MPS in SAP

  • Initiate, route, and complete Quality Notifications including Deviations, CAPA's, and Change Controls

  • Develop and facilitate training programs.

  • Must be committed to responsibilities and display a sense of urgency in responding to opportunities and issues

  • Develop effective metrics, KPI's and monitoring programs.

  • Serve as functional leader for various Supply Chain projects and serve as SCM liaison for other projects, both local and globally

  • Perform software validation including writing test scripts, setting up test data and perform user acceptance testing for upgrades, changes and implementations

  • Perform master data creation and change activities for MRP, BOM and Master Recipe

  • Assist with serialization activities including data setup, system monitoring and validation testing

  • Responsibility for overseeing KANBAN inventory system managing over 2000 inventory locations

Culture Management:

  • Encourage implementation of Industry Best Practices for Materials Management, Procurement, and Good Distribution Practices.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations Management team to build effective teams through common understanding of Company goals, objectives, communication tools and committee structures.

  • Ability to effectively maintain a culture of continuous improvement is essential.


  • Ensure maximum compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices, Sarbanes Oxley and other areas of mandatory regulatory oversight.

  • Create / Revise Departmental Standard Operating Procedures in support of the compliance and or business need.

  • Ensure compliance with current FDA CFRs, cGMP, SOX, EU GMPs and other areas of mandatory regulatory oversight.

Education, Experience & Skills


  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or other related field preferred; or equivalent related experience.


  • 4-6 years of SAP(ECC6) experience including full-cycle Operations (MM//PP-PI/WM)

  • Extensive experience with industry-standard software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

  • APICS Certification preferred.

  • Experience with serialization of pharmaceutical products preferred

  • Prior Biopharmaceutical or other regulated industry experience preferred.


  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment.

  • Proficient in understanding of Production planning/MRP/Inventory Control in SAP ECC 6.0

  • Ability to manage complexity and resolve conflicts and production problems.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills; Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers, management and staff.

  • Ability to work well independently and in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Ability to make sound decisions about inventory requirements, scheduling, allocation of resources and managing priorities.

  • Excellent Analytical skills with a high attention to detail required.

  • Creative and open-minded who fosters an environment in which sharing of ideas is encouraged.

  • Must be able to work independently with general management direction and oversight.

  • Must exhibit strong leadership skills with project team members, with particular emphasis on relationship development and implementation of company improvement initiatives.

  • The ideal candidate will have excellent written and oral communication abilities.

  • Use of Microsoft Excel to compile data, perform data analysis and perform scheduling activities

  • Information Mapping writing methodology preferred

Position Title: Health Information Management Specialist Location: Lansing, MI Shift: Day shift 8:30 a.m . - 5:00 p.m. One weekend day required (Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday) Holiday work required Core Responsibilities: * Collect, tracks and reconciles patient medical record information obtained from nursing units/depts once patient is discharged. * Utilizing facility guidelines preps/assembles and scans/files records for document storage and/or imaging. Facilitates data integrity of all medical record documents necessary to complete upload to document imaging system by performing quantity and quality checks on scanned and indexed medical record information as part of Quality Control (QC)and validation process. * Analyzes patient charts for physician deficiencies according to facility guidelines/bylaws. Assists with physician chart completion and suspension processes including validating chart deficiencies, communicating with Providers regarding their incomplete records and assisting with distribution of reports, letters and statistics related to delinquent medical records. * Works in the EMR system by way of reports and/or work queues to support record completion, coding, release of information and overall management and maintenance of the legal health record. * Serves as an information resource by responding to requests for general and medical record information received via phone, e-mail, fax, or in person. Retrieves records for patient care, studies, committees, and other requests and works with other departments (i.e., Registration, Patient Accounts) as needed to problem-solve accounts. * Reviews, identifies and corrects duplicate medical record numbers ensuring each patient and number is unique and correct to safeguard the integrity of the Master Patient Index thereby providing an accurate database for all applicable systems. * Performs data collection and submission of information for birth certificate filing. * Other duties as required by shift assignment.
