The primary responsibility of the Quality Assurance Specialist is to monitor and provide feedback on the quality of phone interactions with participants by evaluating calls of consultants/retirement advisors. This is to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, rules and regulations of the financial services industry.

Primary Responsibilities

Duties, Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Provide continuous call evaluation feedback to retirement consultants/retirement advisors through written evaluations and review with their managers.

  • Document and escalate call monitoring issues to management as necessary.

  • Evaluate retirement consultant/retirement advisors calls using the quality monitoring data management system to compile and track performance at an individual level.

  • Extract and organize metrics to create month-end reporting and analysis on call monitoring results for internal quality reports, including the following: facilitate call calibration exercises to validate that calls are monitored consistently among the Technical Quality Assurance Specialists, formally update the Operating Committee regarding call monitoring trends and observations.

  • Partner with internal resources (Compliance, Legal, RISK, RSG LOD) to ensure training, resources and feedback includes thorough and accurate information; identify performance gap trends, conduct need/skill gap analysis, contribute to appropriate learning solutions and documentation support.

  • Review and update call evaluation methodologies based on industry and/or internal process changes.

  • Participate in various projects by assisting with organization of training related projects, which includes developing training materials, attending meetings, facilitating training for new hires as it relates to call evaluation methodology or other topics as necessary.



  • Bachelor s Degree in Finance or Accounting

Registrations / Certifications / Licensing Required:

  • FINRA Series 7 & other industry specific registrations/licenses required within GWRS established timelines.

Other Preferred Qualifications::

  • Minimum 7 years work experience

  • Experience working on sales-related financial analysis a plus

  • Working knowledge of retirement plan products preferred

  • Intermediate to Advanced modeling/forecasting skills using Excel

  • Sound reasoning and critical thinking

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This team will determine the strategic roadmap, prioritize activities and opportunities, manage 3rd party relationships, and ensure enhancements and other changes are implemented successfully. This role is responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts for all applications that support the Broker Dealer. These efforts would include: ongoing projects, new projects, scheduled application releases & ad hoc 'patch' releases. Sr. Quality Assurance Associate will work closely with the business and technical teams and is a major contributor to the project deliverable. This role will also be responsible for the testing lifecycle and will report out testing status to the various stakeholders throughout the organization. Responsibilities: * Leads quality assurance efforts for all applications within the Broker Dealer across a variety of scenarios, including: projects, scheduled application releases & ad hoc 'patch' releases * Create and maintain test documentation, including test plan, new and regression test scripts, defects reports and test results * Execute test responsibilities with minimal supervision, including test plan creation, test execution, defects reporting, debugging the defects and test results reporting * Provide testing estimates and participate in project planning * Work with APM and vendor on defect resolution * Coordinate UAT testing with various business groups as necessary * Learn new tools & technology to support test execution * Ensuring a positive end user experience for supported applications Skills Experience Required: * Bachelor's Degree in Business or IT * 2+ years of experience working in Quality Assurance * 2+ years of experience in Excel(Advanced), HP Quality Center, and MS Project * Previous experience in mutual funds or financial industry preferred. * Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. In particular, a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally as needed. * Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think strategically. * Expert ability to work independently and manage one's time. * Ability to think in a forward manner to determine future impacts and steps. * Ability to change direction quickly based on project or business needs.
