Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality, timeliness of supply, value, and continued innovation

  • Work with the Demand Planner to monitor the rolling 12 month forecast and communicate the forecast to the vendors ensuring supply plans support future requirements

  • Ensures supply to manufacturing plants and customers while avoiding excessive inventory commitments

  • Analyze usage data of purchased items to detect changes in trends and take action appropriately

  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms

  • Create and implement processes within Epicor to further streamline procurement processes such as but not limited to purchase order creation, purchase order date management, and review of potential stock outs

  • Assist in developing internal flows of supply to ensure the correct material is stocked in all locations and enables a pull production system

  • Support new product development by working with Engineering and Leadership to find, quote, and qualify vendors, whether existing or new, to procure material and support the forecasted sales plan

  • Assist with conducting cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory records

  • Participate in inbound shipment inspections, verifying the quality and visible quality of material received against purchase orders and shipping documents

  • Work with accounting to ensure all vendor master data is correct and invoicing issues are resolved as needed

  • Work with Planning Team in order to communicate potential stock outs, actions being taken to overcome stock outs, and communicate due dates for replenishment

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and measuring performance of team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Foster an overall culture of team work and continuous improvement

  • Support key department and supply chain initiatives along with all other activities/additional duties as required and/or assigned by supervision/management

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing industry

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to drive cost savings through effective supplier management and contract negotiation

  • Proficiency in data analysis

  • Familiarity with Epicor preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with suppliers

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

  • Knowledge of aluminum extrusions or similar materials and their manufacturing processes and cost structure is a plus

Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The annual salary for this role in Cummings, GA: $66,000 - $76,600. In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus and incentive opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
