To help assure remembrance of the great things of God by preserving records while facilitating approved use by Family & Church History (FCH) divisions, employees of the Corporations, and FCH world-wide customers. Preservation Technicians perform such Records Preservation functions as: digital conversion, auditing records, migrating records, digital and AN processing, microform negative processing, producing digital and microfilm surrogates, image capture, and collections care. Customers expect on-time delivery of high quality products and services. Failure to meet expectations will create significant disruptions to FCH acquisition efforts, the Unified System publishing pipeline, the accessibility of records to researchers worldwide, the supply of names to temples, the Corporations' Records Management program, and the preservation of essential FCH records.
High School degree or equivalent.
One year of production experience or a minimum of six months achieving acceptable Preservation Technician 1 performance. Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to safely meet physical job requirements such as eyesight, sitting, standing, lifting, and climbing ladders. (See attached documents.)
Ability to use required equipment, including extensive computer use.
Ability to focus mentally for long periods of time.
Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
