Job Description

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting the One Platform Development

  • Live Events WWE team in the creation and execution of brand partnerships, which includes the development of sales marketing materials, ideation of creative solutions and proposals, execution of cross-platform activations, and general project management.

This position reports into a Manager.

About The Job

From custom in-show integrations to multi-platform 360 campaigns, the OPD Live Events team works on the WWE across a multitude of NBCU platforms and with the WWE organization itself, to develop and execute revenue generating marketing solutions for clients that entertain & inspire our audiences and fans.

The Marketing Specialist will work with key WWE stakeholders, internally and externally, across linear, social, digital, experiential and streaming to ideate & execute custom marketing and sponsorship elements on WWE RAW, WWE NXT 2.0, and other WWE and Live Events programming.

Duties and Responsibilities

PARTNER COMMUNICATION & FACILITATION

  • Cultivate relationships with WWE as our partner to ensure we are developing content that super serves their & our fanbases

DEVELOPMENT AND EXECUTION OF SALES MARKETING MATERIALS:

  • Support and contribute to the development of multi-platform sales materials across WWE, including show one sheets, customized marketing opportunities, show clips, idea libraries, network rollouts, etc.

  • Assist on RFP and proactive marketing requests and marketing projects in execution by liaising with all appropriate internal & external groups, including the WWE organization, One Platform Marketing (OPM), Sales, Agencies, Clients, Production, Consumer Marketing, Network & Show leads, Legal, and Research

  • Attend and participate in team brainstorm meetings, to collaborate on designing innovative and compelling multi-platform brand programs - while gaining an understanding of NBCU's networks, programming and capabilities

POST-SALE AND CAMPAIGN SUPPORT:

  • Lead & manage turnkey & custom campaigns with WWE, sales, agencies and clients

  • Liaise with key internal & external stakeholders on the tracking and coordination of branded products and materials; manage timelines & budget

  • Manage the post-sell process (recap presentations, clips, air checks and digital links and screenshots) to track program activation

MARKETPLACE INTEL + TEAM SUPPORT:

  • Collaborate and keep team informed of competitive market, industry insights, ad sales marketplace trends and potential growth areas

  • Assist in organizationally driven team support, i.e. create meeting agendas, distribute meeting recap notes, update tracking systems (Monday.com, OneNote status) of RFP and activations

  • Administer invoice process and work directly with Ad Sales Finance to manage client billing for partnerships

Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing or ad sales at agency, client, media or production company - or applicable internship experience

  • Skilled in PowerPoint and other MS Office programs

  • Outlook/Word/Excel/SharePoint

  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY

  • Willingness to work overtime

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

  • Must be 18 years or older

Desired Characteristics

  • Fan of WWE properties and programming

  • Strong organizational skills - ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail

  • Excellent writing skills including presentation development

  • Familiarity with tracking platforms such as (but not limited to) Monday.com

  • Highly innovative and motivated with positive outlook and team-oriented attitude

  • Preferred internship or experience with an advertising or creative agency, client and/or media publisher/production company

  • Understanding or awareness of advertising within all platforms of the lifestyle media space, including social media
