Kautex is seeking a Specialist IT to partner with the team in a dynamic way. This position will be based out of our Troy, MI facility and will provide onsite support for our production facilities in the Americas Region.


  • Primary contact for IT Shop Floor activities, CAQ from IBS and production planning systems

  • Responsible for executing the IT shop floor strategy and ensuring that consistency is applied to all applications

  • Key support for the execution of Continuous Improvement initiatives on the shop floor, including the monitoring, reviewing, and facilitating the resolution of issues

  • Responsible for providing leadership in use of shop floor applications across the business; ensuring quality delivery of client support throughout the shop floor applications' life cycles

  • Responsible for implementing projects consistent with long-range IT plans and installation standards. This includes integration with all TIS strategies and initiatives

  • Acting liaison and business partner to the outsourced infrastructure provider (CSC)

  • Maintains relationships with vendors and professional service organizations


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Applied Science, or related field

  • Knowledgeable of current information technology capabilities as a result of actual experience or knowledge of trend

  • Has an understanding of the issues faced in development and integration, balanced with knowledge of business processes and able to synthesize appropriate solutions for the business

  • Must be willing to day-travel to our Kautex locations as needed

  • Other regional travel as needed (US/CA/MX), approximately 50%.
