This role will manage the activities of FOH and BOH Design and Engineering for both LAC and APEMEA regions the design team will share the load and manage the overall design and engineering schedule at both regions. This role will also ensure design of restaurants are aligned with the Wendy's mission to deliver "A Cut Above" restaurant ensuring a differentiated and relevant experience with strong brand awareness.
Specific Responsibilities Include
Design schedule management for both regions Update the overall design schedule based on the priorities of the development schedule
Design management & design assist program support Manage the relationship with the franchisees design and operations team during the design phase, scheduling and facilitating the necessary meeting. Hold kick off and additional cross functional (operations, supply chain and marketing) design review meetings, at least two meetings per project. Support the third-party Design Assist program by referring franchisees that don't have the appropriate design capabilities
Design review & brand compliance Manage the design workflow with reviews of concept, design development and construction document. Ensure adherence to Wendy's standards, and current design image
Ensure that a minimum set of documents are provided by the franchisee for each review
Redline BOH and FOH drawings to ensure compliance
Review and approve interior and exterior signage placement and sizing per the latest Wendy's image and guidelines
Review and approve in store Art Pack placement per the latest Wendy's image and guidelines
Review and approve seating arrangements and FF&E specs per the latest Wendy's image and guidelines
Review and approve kitchen layout per the brand standards and kitchen manual
Material submittal process Control submittal process for approval of alternate materials, and updated master approved materials list
Document control Upload and manage site package at the Wendy's document control software
Supply chain support Assist on the management of the international supply chain
This position will be based in Miami, FL.  The Wendy's system includes more than 6,500 franchise and Company restaurants in the U.S. and 25 other countries and U.S. territories worldwide.
Education / Experience
Bachelors Degree Architecture, Engineering or Mechanical Engineer
Minimum 5 years of experience on QSR restaurants design
Experience with kitchen lay out designs
Revit and Autocad proficiency
Proficiency in English language
