High School Diploma or equivalent (ex: G.E.D.).
TAPT certifications a plus
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the transportation operations department of a school district, school bus transportation company, or municipal transportation agency; OR two (2) years' experience in computer systems with knowledge of computerized routing systems.
Class B CDL with P and S endorsements (or ability to obtain) - preferred
Ability to speak Spanish a plus
Must possess strong computer and word processing skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to utilize software to develop routes and schedules.
Develop and maintain excellent communication and customer service with the service centers, school campuses, administration and parents
Assist in the preparation of reports for administration
Work with the routing software to retrieve information and prepare reports
Monitor student ridership and ridership documents
Assist with Adaptive Equipment inventory and need
Monitor student IEPs for compliance
Be familiar with TEA special needs laws and requirements
Assist with record keeping relating to the accuracy of the routes, including bus drivers, monitors, bus numbers, etc.
Maintain student route count reports
Assist with the preparation of the SHARS weekly reports
Be sensitive to confidentiality and protect student information and documents
Work with the special needs team positively to build the department
Working knowledge of Dallas ISD policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Salary commensurate with education and experience
Selected individuals for Dallas Independent School District positions will be placed according to compensation guidelines.
