Specialist II, National Joint Use Notification System (NJUNS)
This Specialist II position works within the Utility Asset Management department creating and coordinating work flows though the National Joint Use Notification System (NJUNS). The NJUNS Specialist II position is responsible for coordination of joint use activities, including permitting activities, initiated through NJUNS. This position also acts as the point of contact for internal and external customers providing efficient communication, expertise and reporting analysis, and is also the subject matter expert and quality control for the Design Coordinators during and after ticket creation. This role helps facilitate the partnering of our customers and PGE to manage pole transfers, joint trench construction, pole attachments, and project notification.
Comprehensive knowledge of National Joint Utilities Notification System (NJUNS)
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point)
Comprehensive knowledge of the PGE or related Outage Management (OMS), MAXIMO, GIS, ArcFM Viewer, eRecords, and PeopleSoft
Thorough knowledge of National Electric Safety Code (NESC) and OPUC regulations
Thorough knowledge of government agency banner policy
Thorough knowledge of the Pole Transfer process, including the relationships to other departments, external customers, contracts, and work practices.
Working knowledge on how to interpret PGE system map features/legends
Working knowledge of the PGE Electric Service Manual
Working knowledge of fundamentals of electricity
Working knowledge of one or more jurisdictional permitting requirements
Working knowledge of NESC code
