Designs, implements, and monitors human capital programs and policies including total rewards, talent management, learning and development, recruitment and employee relations. Anticipates and plans for long-term people-related needs and trends. Ensures current employees have the necessary skills for future requirements. Maintains HR information systems.

Job Function: HR Technology

Develops, configures, supports and maintains the HR information systems. Analyzes business requirements and develops or modifies programs to ensure the effective storage, retrieval and reporting of employee data. Ensures integrity of HR databases and provides HRIS systems support to end-users. Prepares and/or supervises the production of HRIS reports and subsequent data analysis.

Summary of Responsibilities:

The HRIS Functional Specialist supports the HR Technology team on a variety of tasks and assignments. This includes various HR business applications and learning to gather and translate business requirements into technical requirements and user/test cases. The incumbent is the technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with insuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintains business processes and configuration in Workday and maintains test use case documentation and test scripts.

  • Performs functional regression testing during semi-annual updates.

  • Helps resolve service requests and works with end users to confirm resolution.

  • Conducts system audits and corrects inaccuracies/discrepancies.

  • Supports HRIS functional leads in prototyping new or updated functionality and in troubleshooting system issues

  • Education

  • Bachelor's Degree: in HR, information technology, or equivalent field.

  • or equivalent work experience

  • Experience

  • 0-3 years of experience supporting an HRIS function.

  • Skills & Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively on a team.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining a high quality level of work.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills.

  • Proficient technology and computer skills, with the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

  • Understanding of HCM systems, preferably Workday
