Overall Job Summary

The HRIS Sr. Specialist is responsible for managing the company's HRIS system and all related modules. This includes configuring, implementing, enhancing, and maintaining HR System services and implementing tools to provide HR user needs. The HRIS Sr. Specialist will serve as core system support and subject matter expert; develop strategies for usage; facilitate user adoption; develop and deliver systems training for administrators and users; and act as a support escalation point.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

1.Project Management:

⦁ Lead and communicate projects from requirements definition through deployment

⦁ Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders, providing continuous contact on project stratgy, adjustments, and progress status

⦁ Identify and manage resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner

2.Production/User Support:

⦁ Leverage experience and knowledge, technical support, and industry best practices to create efficient solutions in order to maximize our talent technology investment.

⦁ Manage relationships with field, distribution center and Store Support Center teams on a continuous basis to understand use cases and needs for optimizing system configurations and functionality in order to align the HR systems with the organization's strategies, while streamlining the user experience

⦁ Guide business process owners, as needed, in order to determine if the HR systems can be utilized to reduce manual processes where applicable

⦁ Provide user training and hands-on support.

⦁ Partner with Analytics team to support standard, custom, and ad hoc reporting from the HR systems for end users, leadership, and HR Business Partners, as well as for internal and external compliance and audit requests, while maintaining data security

3.System Maintenance:

⦁ Manage/oversee user acceptance testing as needed in support of new procedures, new system rollouts or upgrades, and partner with other members of the team to communicate system release enhancement details

⦁ Provide technical support, including troubleshooting issues and responding to escalated inquiries

⦁ Maintain user database; create, assign, and manage security roles/permissions for systems users

⦁ Develop, configure, implement, and modify software requirements based on changing business needs.

⦁ Identify, troubleshoot, resolve, and communicate HR systems functionality issues and discrepancies to leadership and appropriate end-user communities

⦁ Develop and document procedures to validate, update and correct confidential employee records, system errors and changes/updates to system-related tasks

⦁ Manage relationships with IT technical resources supporting HR systems, ensuring smooth operations and timely issue resolution.

⦁ Engage with external consulting vendors as needed, ensuring quality service delivery and alignment with organizational goals

4.Process Documentation:

⦁ Responsible for documenting, defining, and mapping current-state process across business units

⦁ Design and introduce new processes and process improvements across business units without jeopardizing quality and service delivery

⦁ Develop and manage an ongoing continuous improvement and training regimen

⦁ Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, HR technology, and HRIS applications.

Required Qualifications

Experience: 3-5 years' experience working with HR systems software required.

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Human Resources, or related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

  • Passionate about continuous improvement with strong desire to continue learning in order to stay relevant to business changes and industry trends

  • Strong problem solving, project management, communication, organizational, and multi-tasking skills required

  • Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
