About This Position

The HR Portal Specialist role will provide planning and execution guidance and knowledge to simplify the employee experience with the software implementations across UTC Business Units and Functions. This role will also contribute to establishing adoption and governance for new capabilities enablement in support of various stakeholder and Business Unit groups.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure all existing documentation is considered and evaluated for Portal / CRM content development

  • Support the development and implementation of the Portal knowledge content articles

  • Determine effective content delivery format for optimal end user experience

  • Plan, execute and monitor projects across UTC with an eye on supportability and successful operational transition into production

  • Conduct working sessions with HR/COE Functions to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements

  • Provide subject matter expertise on key business process decisions

  • Demonstrate configurations through the use of prototyping for the emerging capabilities

  • Work in an agile environment with global implementation and operations teams

  • Lead coordination for the training and other events that help share knowledge and skills with other team members

  • Some travel required, approximately 10%

Education / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of experience configuring, implementing or running CRM Case Management tools such as Salesforce and ServiceNow
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a related field and 3 years' experience in configuration role for HR Portal, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday and Telephony experience preferred

  • Experience working with and supporting large, complex organizations

  • Basic knowledge of AGILE methodology and practices

Additional Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and can clearly articulate complex messages and requirements to stakeholders, functional COE teams

  • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate and team with others

  • You are someone who enjoys working collaboratively on projects with other functional departments and has exceptional organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong mindset focusing on identifying inefficiencies and driving process improvements. ACE training and certification preferred

  • Ability to think analytically and effectively apply logic to solve problems and find solutions to everyday challenges with creative new ideas

  • Self-starter with willingness to support strategic priorities and take ownership of assigned projects/initiatives to contribute to results and ability to work with a minimum supervision

  • Excellent planning and project management skills

  • Outstanding formal and informal presentation skills

  • Thrive in a diverse, fast paced, global environment
