Job Summary:

Provides global support to the material and product groups by assisting in resolving various financial and inventory issues. Focused on helping maintain product supply to the sales organization globally in support of their strategies and financial requirements. Such activities may include the following as well as other duties as assigned:

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Helps globally facilitate activities related to the purchase, handling, control, storage, packaging and delivery, of materials.

  • Manages and tracks all QAS and Excess inventory related issues

  • Provides support for the global material and product groups.

  • Helps facilitate various stages of procuring, processing, delivering, and pricing of inventory.

  • Interprets, analyzes, organizes, and formats data for dissemination to materials and sales personnel.

  • Provides liaison services between sales and program management for order status and problem resolution.

Job Level Specifications:

  • Foundational knowledge of specialized job functions, industry practices and standards acquired via academic instruction and/or relevant work experience of substantially the same level.

  • Develops solutions to defined tasks, typical problems and projects appropriate in scope and complexity which be solved by the application of specialized foundational knowledge and existing approaches and solutions to a variety of related situations.

  • Work is usually performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion. Receives initial direction and work may be reviewed for accuracy and quality.

  • Interacts mostly with immediate management and other professionals within the department or function.

  • Actions typically affect own work assignments and department but erroneous decisions or failure to accomplish

Work Experience:

  • Typically less than 2 years with bachelor's or equivalent

Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

University Drive, Phoenix, AZ, 85034 USA The Collins Aerospace Re-Empower Program is a return to work program that helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, improve leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. The program consists of a 16-week comprehensive cohort assignment, which offers a rich and rewarding experience and mentorship for program participants transitioning back into the workforce after a 2+ year career break, for reasons such as childcare, eldercare, career path change, illness, retirement or other personal matters. Selected experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive mentoring to guide their return to work experience. Upon completion of the 16-week program, based on performance, Re-Empower participants may have an opportunity to convert to a full-time role. The Winter 2019 Cohort of the Collins Aerospace Re-Empower Program will run from January 29, 2019 – May 17, 2019. To qualify for the Collins Aerospace Re-Empower Program, candidates must meet both program and position requirements. Program Qualifications: * Currently be on a break of at least two years or more * Have a minimum of five years of professional work experience * Have an interest in returning to work in a full-time position * Have an ability to attend the Re-Empower Program Orientation at Collins Aerospace Headquarters in Farmington, CT on January 29 – 31. Phoenix Operations is currently seeking a customer focused individual to act as an inventory focal at our 3PL (3rd party logistics provider). Responsibilities include partnering with the 3PL to ensure timely and accurate completion of inventory cycle counts including reconciliation and justification of inventory discrepancies, as well as facilitating escalation on aged receiving issues. This individual will also be involved in continuous improvement projects such as materials presentation and the development of processes related to interactions between the 3PL and Production Planning. This role will be working primarily with the 3PL and materials organizations and will act as customer representation at the 3PL. Primary Responsibilities: * Have the ability to coordinate activities through multiple organizations * Communicate effectively with peers, internal stakeholders and other organizations to ensure customer satisfaction. * Be detail oriented and have a strong attention to detail * Be self-directed and close on tasks in a timely manner as assigned Education / Certifications * Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience required, Supply Chain or Business Administration major preferred * CPIM/CIRM a plus UTAS4220182 Experience/Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Required Minimum 5 years planning and/or materials experience required; manufacturing, electronics or aerospace environment preferred. * Knowledge that extends across multiple disciplines * Team and / or Project Leadership experience * Excellent leadership, communication, problem solving, analytical, prioritization and multi-tasking skills * Ability to work with all levels of management * Knowledge of materials management strategies, lean manufacturing system design and shop floor management execution * Working knowledge of continuous improvement principles (e.g. lean manufacturing, ACE, QCPC) Preferred * Operations/Materials experience * Experience with inventory reconciliation and/or cycle counting (physical inventories) Additional Comments * Highly motivated individual who enjoys operating in a dynamic environment and who enjoys the challenges of process improvement and "lean" manufacturing initiatives. * Success working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with the ability to adapt to changing business conditions. * Candidates should be highly self-directed and able to learn quickly with a strong ability to drive and deliver results.
