WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will, as the Specialist, Global Investment Services (GIS) - Fund Operations team is primarily responsible for collaborating with various teams to facilitate the Investor Relations, Investment Transaction and Treasury functions and reports to the group's senior management. The Specialist works with GIS's Investor Relations function to support and facilitate tasks impacting fund investors. The Specialist works with GIS's Fund Accounting team to facilitate investment transactions, investment reporting, and its treasury and custody functions.

Investor Relations & Fund Administration (50%)

  • You will manage annual investor eligibility project and related records for individuals and trusts or other investment vehicles, in compliance with securities restrictions across geographies

  • You will support the IR team with communications and activities related to

o Investor transfers and other ad-hoc investor matters

o Fund administrative compliance and communications

  • You will assist with management of investor data specific to bank account information and updates in accordance with data privacy policies

  • You will facilitate creation and closure of bank accounts and brokerage accounts

  • You will track, summarize & facilitate payments of fund-level expenses to be reimbursed to general partner / corporate parent

  • You will manage fund governance documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements

  • You will assist with drafting investment offering documents (subscription agreements) in coordination with Bain's legal group

  • You will perform other duties & projects as assigned or as responsibilities dictate

Investment Transactions (40%)

  • You will prepare and manage investment transaction documentation for timely execution by management, in accordance with applicable law

  • You will resolve questions and issues raised by outside legal counsel regarding investment transaction documentation

  • You will manage historical records of each investment

  • You will maintain records of executed copies of the relevant legal documents

  • You will perform other duties & projects as assigned or as responsibilities dictate

Treasury, Custody & Internal Controls Services (10%)

  • You will process check deposits

  • You will prepare payments by check for tax payments and corporate expenses

  • You will maintain electronic checkbook registers

  • You will provide custody services to safeguard checks and stock certificates

  • You will support with other administrative duties & analytical tasks as required"

ABOUT YOU

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required. A concentration in business is preferred.

2-4+ years of experience supporting investment management professionals is required and experience in the Investor Relations or Fund Operations group of an asset manager is preferred.

  • Superior interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

  • Ability to successfully manage multiple work streams, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines

  • Working knowledge of various software tools including SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat or similar software programs

Preferred Skills/Knowledge includes:

  • Knowledge of private equity investment funds

  • Experience navigating complex investment transaction legal documents

  • Knowledge of Common Reporting Standards and FATCA compliance reporting
