Job Summary

The RDC Facilities Specialist's primary function is preparing and implementing merchandising layouts within the Store and Regional Distribution Center (RDC). In addition, the RDC Facilities Specialist assists with the maintenance and monitoring of Company's assets and properties within the Region. The position will also execute quality checks audits for the store to ensure preventative and reactive maintenance execution.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee and support store fit-out and execution of merchandise layout

  • Assets ordering and management

  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance for RDC and Store walk-throughs

  • Roll out new processes and procedures to the stores within the region

  • Ensure compliance with planning conditions when assisting with facilities

  • Assist with filing and administration of contracts and maintenance records to ensure buildings, assets, and equipment comply with health and safety requirements

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Familiarity with business and office communications protocol, project management

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills moderate understanding of mathematical functions

  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments while committing to deadlines

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • 1 2 years of experience in related field required

Physical Job Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) less than half the time

  • The person in this position may need to move about the store(s), distribution center(s), warehouse(s), and/or corporate office(s) more than half the time

  • This person in this role must be able to position him/herself (ex: kneel, crawl, crouch down) to fulfill the essential functions of the role less than half the time

  • The person in this position must be able to maneuver (lift, move, carry, slide, etc.) 15 40 lbs.

  • This position operates machinery and/or equipment that requires the constant use of hands/fingers/wrists (ex: typing, sweeping, slicing deli meat, operating the Point of Sale system, etc.) all of the time

  • This position requires the ability to spend more than half the time viewing computer monitors

  • The person in this position must be able to identify and distinguish between all of the time

Travel Requirements

  • This position commutes between regional offices/distribution centers less than 25% of the time within a day

  • This position requires overnight domestic travel less than 25% of the time

  • This position requires overnight international travel less than 25% of the time

  • Anticipated travel will be by car, air, and/or train

Preferred

Preferred Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience

  • Microsoft Office certification desired

The Regional Facilities Manager has oversight of all activities including cost control, store fit-outs (merchandise layouts and remodel), preventative and reactive maintenance, along with administrative management oversight including ordering, contract warranties, and annual budgets. Importantly, the role also encompasses managing and creating relationships with contractors along with the daily building operations staff.
