POSITION FUNCTION & SCOPE:
The ABM II Innovation will support the SBM Innovation to lead highly complex new product initiatives through the Del Monte innovation process to launch. They will lead cross-functional teams responsible for delivering broad, multi-level platforms that provide long term enterprise value, considering strategic, consumer, technical, and business viability. The Sr. ABM will lead with an Enterprise mindset, balancing the need for creativity and an entrepreneurial approach with strategy and discipline. They will work with the base business team to ensure strategic alignment and represent innovation with multiple stakeholders, such as R&D, Consumer Insights, Operations, Sales, Finance and Customers.
Help shape and support brand innovation strategies, including multi-year platforms
Engage with Base Marketing team to develop innovation strategies for their brands
Innovation and Strategy
Support and manage complex innovation projects linked to brand strategies and multi-year growth platforms
Key member of small "Lean Innovation" teams (4-5 people/team) that drive all aspects of new product platforms, as well as the broader, x-functional organizational effort to meet initiative goals & timelines
Responsible for taking innovation initiatives from early concept through to launch
Leverage research (historical, secondary) and insights (consumer and supplier research, trends) to identify and define Innovation opportunities
Network with key stakeholders throughout the organization (R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, etc.) to both manage the work and ensure effective buy-in
Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to develop novel ideas and solutions while creating buy-in
Manage details of overall project and timeline
Provide continuity and support to Base Marketing Team as they take responsibility of new product launches after sales webcast.
Support P&L development for the new brands, sub-brands and platforms they create, evaluating alternatives to meet financial launch hurdles
Manage the budget for innovation platform development and new item launch support

BS/BA required; MBA in Marketing or related field preferred
Consumer Goods Experience required
3-6 years' experience in innovation and marketing with the following specialization:
Demonstrated success taking innovation ideas to market
Broad-based cross-functional experience
Team facilitation and innovation project leadership
Possesses a strong passion for Innovation and a unique combination of soft (highly creative, curious, close to rapidly changing trends) and hard (general mgt orientation, highly strategic, financially sound) that define successful Innovation leaders.
