DENSO Manufacturing Site Communications Specialist
Job Description:
As a DENSO Communications Specialist, you will play a critical role in developing messages that drive employee engagement and build a positive work experience across multiple manufacturing sites in the United States and Canada. Reporting to the Manufacturing Communications Manager, you will be responsible for crafting and distributing content that builds DENSO culture and promotes a sense of purpose through our Two Great Causes-Green and Peace of Mind. The ideal candidate will bring cultural and linguistic awareness when translating text from English to Spanish for bilingual audiences.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide strategic communications counsel to DENSO leaders that results in development and delivery of communications that drive business goal achievement.
Draft and distribute company communications that keep employees informed about news, updates and initiatives, including crisis messaging as necessary.
Craft fresh, compelling, and innovative content for associates at all levels across multiple manufacturing sites.
Manage internal communication channels, such as intranet, digital signage, internal mobile app, local newsletters, text messaging system and more through timely and thoughtful distribution of messages; identify and present opportunities for consistency across multiple sites.
Facilitate regular meetings and events that promote employee engagement and enhance organizational culture, such as all-associate meetings and local manager meetings.
Represent the voice of manufacturing associates and leadership in regional (North America) communications.
Support regional editorial content development for assigned sites, business or function groups in North America.
Develop creative concepts and manage execution of communications plans for associate giving and community affairs efforts, working in close partnership with North America and other local Community Affairs counterparts.
Represent the company at community gathering, local community agencies/boards or forums as needed to increase understanding of community needs and collaboration opportunities.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (Communications, Journalism or Marketing Preferred)
Minimum 1-3 years of Communications experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; preferably familiar with AP Stylebook
Strong project management capabilities, including ability to manage multiple projects under pressure and handle sensitive subjects.
Natural curiosity to understand business priorities and concepts, applying strategic goals to communications initiatives.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and other web-based applications, including Sharepoint, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual Communicator (English/Spanish) with native proficiency in both languages in speaking, reading and writing.
Experience in graphic design and photography.
Salary Range: $55,700 - $69,700
