Job Description

Essential Job functions:

  • Responsible for implementing, optimizing, maintaining and monitoring the standardization of workflows across the organization that will support PCMH and population health management.

  • Act as a lead resource on the clinical services workflow committee and bridge the workflows to ensure the highest efficiency for provider and support staff interactions.

  • Reviews, implements and evaluates clinical workflows that address upgrades, roll outs and acquisitions.

  • Provide leadership and serve as a facilitator to other departments.

  • Analyze and interpret patient, nursing, or information systems data to improve nursing, medical services and standards of patient care.

  • Test, implement, and evaluate new or modified informatics solutions, data structures, and decision-support mechanisms that are relevant to the medical care of patients.

  • Assists in updating clinical education material according to changes in guidelines, requirements and workflows

  • Ensures policies and procedures are properly communicated in education curriculum, materials and instructed workflows, following regulatory, and competency requirements (i.e., blood pressure competencies, injection competencies, etc.) and professional growth needs of staff.

  • Ensure maintenance of document standardization through the use of model documents, templates and appropriate peer review.

  • Develop strategies, policies or procedures for introducing, evaluating or modifying information technology applied to nursing practice, medical practice, administration or education.

  • Coordinate with Clinical, Marketing, and Operations management to identify goals and scope of clinical projects. Manage and execute the overall project scope and timelines.

  • Conducts clinical competencies with new and existing staff and coordinates with Clinical Supervisors/Clinical Practice Managers to re-evaluate skills and techniques and provide reinforcement of best practice when needed

  • Provides constructive feedback and fosters a positive moral for the care team

  • Maintains current knowledge of system and application functionality including upgrades, enhancements and new roll outs that need to be included in staff training and education

  • Maintains accurate documentation of clinical staff education and provides feedback to supervisors and managers as applicable

  • Assists in the administration and tracking of students through various approved programs

o Keeps student tracking document up-to-date

o Coordinates students' rotation with department, including modified orientation and first day priorities

o Main point of contact for all students and school affiliations

General Job functions:

  • Develop training programs for health information technology and standards of care, creating operating manuals as needed.

  • Read current literature, talk with colleagues, and participate in professional organizations or conferences to keep abreast of developments in the health care industry.

  • Determines impact of new initiatives and ensures alignment with the organizational long-term strategic direction and objectives.

  • Recognizes and performs duties which need to be performed although not directly assigned.

  • Acts as a role model and mentor, providing instruction, guidance, clinical and emotional support to staff

  • Serves as a resource and consultant to promote professional and technical development and provide clarification of role expectations in the clinical setting

  • Able to work in a dynamic environment

  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing needs of organization

Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Valid OR RN license

  • BLS certification

  • Minimum of 3- 5 years of nursing experience

  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.

  • Ability to use Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail) preferred.

  • Ability to use Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment preferred.

Travel - Position will require at a minimum 30% travel to multiple locations for focused training
