Lockwood is an SEC registered investment advisor. The role works directly with financial advisors of our key client firms.
Our team is responsible for driving new assets growth, retaining existing assets, training on Lockwood advised investment solutions and our clients entire investment platform. The role involves direct interaction with financial advisors, proactive contact, on demand support, investment solution guidance, proposal support, training on desktop tools and technology used by advisors to manage their book of business and new business.
Leads activities related to Business Development support, including managed accounts product sales, new business and training support. Consults on Business Development opportunities and does analysis and provides proposal/recommendations for financial advisors using Lockwood solutions. Oversees development of proposal materials and reviews against existing or competitor offerings.
Manages day to day activity within a geographic region. May allocate or coordinate work within team.
Develops approach to analyzing metrics, analysis methodology and proposal response. Takes lead on the largest, most complex opportunities and completes proposals that are requested.
Coordinates with internal business units to research and gather information necessary to engage with financial advisors to meet sales targets. Anticipates and resolves any compliance, legal or regulatory review required for solicitation and response.
Acts as a resource for relationship managers to ensure information needed to complete a sale or to improve the sales process provided in a timely fashion. Works directly with the client, business development or relationship management teams to clarify requirements for materials being developed.
Leverages technological expertise for product sales and demonstrations. No direct reports.
Leads Business Development support teams and provides guidance to less experienced colleagues. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives.
5+ years working directly in managed accounts sales supporting financial advisors within independent broker dealers, banks and RIAs.
Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required. 7-10 years of total work experience in sales preferred.
