Price reinsurance treaties, develop actuarial models and refine processes and rating assumptions. Work with underwriters, cat modelers and clients to gather all relevant information.
What will your essential responsibilities include?
Price Property reinsurance contracts for North America. This involves working collaboratively with other actuaries, underwriters and cat modelers on a daily basis.
Present and substantiate actuarial results to underwriters and the underwriting committee.
Dialogue with brokers and their actuaries regarding the pricing analysis.
Work with other actuaries to improve models and fine-tune assumptions and methodologies.
Make recommendations to use technology as efficiently as possible and reduce rating turn around time.
Peer review actuarial work performed by others.
Perform special projects as required.
You will report the Actuary Manager.
We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
Bachelor's Degree or better, ACAS or near-ACAS.
Minimum 3 years insurance or reinsurance experience preferred, with a commitment to exam progress and developing actuarial skills.
Advanced knowledge of Excel/VBA preferred.
Pricing knowledge: thorough understanding of experience and exposure rating analysis required.
Familiarity with RMS outputs and with ROE calculations preferred.
