Job Summary:

Responsible for the preparation of Marketing-related reports and

analysis and the implementation of marketing activity across various

departments within the organization. Ensures proper implementation of

marketing and communications programs to key system personnel. Supports

development and implementation of online, email, and Direct Marketing

programs to generate leads. Works with moderate guidance in own area of

  • Works independently and collaboratively with outside vendors on

creative design elements, production, event promotions, and


  • Assists in pre-campaign and post-campaign analysis and summary report.

  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work

nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Job Specification:

  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent

  • Generally requires 2-5 years related experience

The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Land Use Program Consultant within the Division of Health Protection, Environmental Health Section in our Atlanta office. Under limited supervision, the land use program consultant provides technical assistance, training, and interpretation of rules and regulations for the onsite sewage management, portable sanitation, and non-public drinking water program to public health districts, industry, and citizens/visitors of Georgia. Contributes to the planning and/or development of policies and rules and implementation of the land use programs statewide. Oversees Departmental review and approval of products and devices and provides assistance to the EH program as needed. Evaluates district/county land use programs for compliance with State and /or federal guidelines and departmental goals. Job Responsibilities * Provides oversight to Department review and approval/denial process for plans and variances and serves a technical expert in assigned EH land program area. * Provides technical expertise to district and county EHS, industry and the public in the review and interpretation of state and federal laws, regulations and policies related to the environmental health land program. * May assist with budget preparation and monitoring in assigned environmental health program area. * Compiles reports of findings and submits in appropriate format. * Coordinates environmental health program services with other providers, organizations, regulated communities and the general public to promote optimal implementation of program services. * Establishes effective communication with district/county EHS in assigned program area. * Develops long-term (five year) and short-term (one year) objectives and plans for the environmental Health land programs. * Develops policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines for the development and implementation of the EH land program statewide. * Assists with monitoring, assessing and evaluating the land program to determine compliance with state and/or federal guidelines and meeting established department goals. * Plans, supervises, coordinates and implements educational and training programs for district/county EHS within the specialty. * Assesses the environmental health land program needs of the target population. * Maintains professional knowledge of current laws, policies, trends, and developments in the environmental health field and applies pertinent new knowledge to performance of other responsibilities. * Maintains emergency preparedness readiness and may respond after hours to emergencies. * May research, prepare and administer grant proposals and contracts for services. Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of related experience OR Four years of related professional experience.
