Position Summary:

The Logistics Specialist verifies the receipt and transportation of raw materials and manufactured products to ensure conformance to customer specifications.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Bachelors Degree preferred, not required

Experience: 1 Year Shipping/Receiving Experience Preferred

Essential Duties: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The duties listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Performs Logistics Duties by preparing and inspecting all finished goods for shipment according to the appropriate product specifications; planning shipments with proper labeling, packaging, paperwork, and transportation of product according to procedures/specifications; receiving all incoming raw materials according to procedure; properly transporting and storing materials; operating and understanding all required logistics equipment necessary for successful completion of assigned tasks; and safely operating power industrial vehicles

  • Maintains Documentation by recording incoming raw materials and finished products, verifying shipment orders and lot identification, accessing and entering Oracle data

  • Demonstrates Math Skills by analyzing qualitative data; performing mathematical calculations; working with alphanumeric sequences.

  • Improves Job Knowledge by attending training and keeping relevant knowledge and skills current.

  • Demonstrates Interpersonal skills by working independently and with a team; attention to detail; effective time management; ability to meet deadlines; communicating product status.

VIEW JOBS 3/1/2020 3:57:35 PM 2020-05-30T15:57 <p>SUMMARY<br /> Procurement and Shipping is responsible for supervising the shipping operations and personnel in order to achieve excellence in executing and controlling assigned international forwarder(NVOCC) for procurement about spare parts about production facility shipping and shuttle trucking. This position will also ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and manage 3PLs.<br /> <br /> Inbound is responsible for monitoring all raw material shipments from South Korea and China to H, GA plant and also ensuring service and cost are met with the targets as well as defining and implementing improvement projects<br /> <br /> RESPONSIBILITIES<br /> ? Customs clearance and FTZ (Foreign Trade Zone) management.<br /> ? Processing all transport orders and daily transport planning with focus on optimization of loads.<br /> ? Daily inventory coordination with plants, forwarders and warehousing companies.<br /> ? Performance monitoring against shipment plans and cost.<br /> ? Support plants with special/express shipments and late notice requests/changes.<br /> ? Spot market shipment carrier sourcing and cost negotiation.<br /> ? Resolve and monitor any service issues and inform relevant teams if necessary.<br /> ? Resolve quality issues and prevent their reoccurrence by working w/ other functioning teams. (i.e. Purchasing, Facility team, sales entity and etc.)<br /> ? Capacity planning for short and mid-term by working w/ Purchasing and Operation Planning Team.<br /> ? Monitor, identify, and implement improvement opportunities for cost and service<br /> ? Support the evaluation and selection of new 3PLs.<br /> ? Validate and approve 3PL invoices for payment, and monitor logistics cost development.<br /> ? Provide management and oversight regarding raw material inventory control.<br /> ? Set procedures for reducing importing cost. (Utilizing Port CY, ODCY, and etc.)<br /> ? Managing on-time and in-full service losses if relevant.<br /> ? Generate weekly inbound KPI and forecasting reports.<br /> ? Monitoring the interface with logistics providers where applicable.<br /> ? Maintaining Logistics master-data.<br /> ? Monthly and annual operating cost report for inbound logistics. Management of required certifications. (if needed, e.g. ISO/OHSAS)<br /> ? Revise and establish operational procedures for overall logistics operation. (i.e. SOP<br /> ? Analyze operations on a continuing basis and make necessary improvements to ensure operating<br /> efficiencies across all functions.<br /> ? Oversee the preparation and execution of the daily load plans and shipping schedule in coordination with the planning department.<br /> ? Direct the efforts of the shipping team, effectively communicate workload requirements and expectations, and keep the team abreast of status.<br /> ? Ensure good housekeeping practices, safety rules, and customer requirements are followed by all personnel.<br /> ? Support and work closely with human resources and safety to plan, develop and implement facility policies and goals.<br /> ? Oversee the dispatching and scheduling of local shipments.<br /> ? Direct workforce to achieve gains in productivity and cost effectiveness while retaining good labor relations.<br /> ? Notify production and customer service of all shorted orders and overruns.<br /> ? Ensure that physical inventory counts and all the other inventory control functions are properly completed. This includes cycle counting when initiated by the Controller.<br /> ? Ensure shipping documentation is complete and accurate.<br /> ? A bachelor’s degree in related field<br /> ? 0~3 years of of supply chain operations with logistics experience<br /> ?
