Tufts Medical Center is looking to hire a part-time clinical psychologist to provide a range of behavioral health services to patients with serious persistent mental illness on the Inpatient Units at the Dr. Solomon Carter Fuller Mental Health Center.

Responsibilities will include providing, designing and directly implementing individual behavioral interventions, risk assessments, group treatment, individual relapse prevention plans and individual treatment, as well as psychological testing. Experience with a forensic population is preferred as is experience and expertise with trauma informed, recovery oriented treatment. The psychologist will also be a part of the multi-disciplinary in-patient treatment team.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. In addition the psychologist#s responsibilities may be to provide supervision to doctoral level psychology students.# #A doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology is required the applicant must be eligible and working toward Massachusetts licensure.# The successful candidate must meet the basic medical staff requirements for appointment as an Allied Healthcare Provider of the Dr. Solomon Carter Fuller Mental Health Center. #This position comes with an academic appointment in the Tufts University School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry at a rank to be determined by qualifications.



Responsibilities:


Evaluation, supervision of psychology advanced practicum students, teaching within the psychiatry/psychology training programs, and opportunities to do psychological/neuropsychological testing. Candidates with specific training and skills in psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, and trauma informed intervention are desirable.

Although this is primarily a clinical position, research collaboration and teaching initiatives are highly valued aspects of working within this academic setting. The successful candidate will be eligible for faculty appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine.

VIEW JOBS 2/25/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-25T00:00 JOB OVERVIEW Judge Baker Children's Center (JBCC) is hiring a full-time psychologist to provide evidence-based behavioral health treatment to youths ages 2–19 in the Center for Effective Child Therapy and to act as a Program Coordinator for Camp Baker. This exciting position provides the opportunity to join a team of professionals who are helping expand high-quality evidence-based outpatient services for children and adolescents in the greater Boston area. The ideal candidate will have training in and experience delivering high fidelity Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Behavioral Parent Training (BPT). The psychologist will report directly to the Director of Outpatient Clinical Services (the Director) and work closely with a highly trained clinical team of psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and trainees in mental health services. The psychologist will report to the Associate Director of Camp Baker for Camp Baker matters. The psychologist will be responsible for providing high-quality evidence-based treatments to youths and families, assisting with program development and implementation for Camp Baker using a modified version of the Summer Treatment Program (STP) model, and providing high-quality supervision to trainees. The successful applicant for the psychologist position will be extremely motivated and organized, have a solid foundational knowledge of behavior theory, experience providing CBT and BPT, and be eager to pursue in-house certification (if not already certified) in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical * Provides high quality, high fidelity evidence-based mental health treatments to youths ages 2-19 * Becomes certified in PCIT and MATCH-ADTC * Maintains licensure in good standing * Completes all clinical documentation according to professional standards and in compliance with current policies * Conducts diagnostic and biopsychosocial assessments and writes reports * Provides crisis evaluation and treatment, and safety planning as needed * Coordinates care with families, other providers, schools, government agencies, and others as indicated * Provides consultation services as needed * Provides evening and/or on-call coverage as assigned * Participates in direct service delivery and daily parent engagement for Camp Baker with high fidelity to Summer Treatment Program (STP) model * Leads behavioral parent training groups for Camp Baker Supervision * Provides high-quality individual and group supervision to trainees * Observes, monitors and provides feedback on treatment fidelity and integrity to trainees at CECT and staff at Camp Baker * Assists with training of new staff and trainees in CECT and at Camp Baker * Provides supervision to undergraduate and graduate staff at Camp Baker Administrative * Attends all required meetings * Responds to utilization review (UR) and audit requests and feedback in a timely manner * Assists with management of Camp Baker, including screening of summer staff, mailings, admissions and enrollment process for campers, screening of applicants, scheduling, purchasing, coordination, event planning * Assists with Camp Baker program development needs * Participates in UR and other administrative committees as necessary QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Educational and Work Experience * Graduate of APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology * Completion of APA-accredited internship * 3-5 years of experience providing CBT and BPT with children and families.Licensed Psychologist and Certified Health Service Provider in Massachusetts in good standing; or eligibility for licensure in Massachusetts required. * 3-5 years of experience providing supervision to trainees preferred. * Experience with Summer Treatment Program model highly desirable.
