This is what you'll do:

  • Support advanced and prototype designs for Special Project vehicles including show cars, mules, off-production builds and other prototype or unique variant builds

  • Engineer prototype systems for advanced vehicle builds and development to support Special Project vehicles

  • Design structures, parts, brackets, systems and other components as required using Catia specifically focused on mechanical components as then interface between production design and the designs for early, non-production builds

  • Support all Special Project vehicle builds through release, fabrication, and assembly

  • Manage suppliers - which may be production sourced or may be unique based on program timelines and needs

  • Select OTS content and adapt designs to accommodate to maintain timing and design

  • Ensure all Special Project vehicles are built to a show car level of quality

  • Interface with production engineering, purchasing, prototyping, and suppliers to deliver the vehicles

This is what you'll need:

  • An understanding of vehicle systems

  • Experience in vehicle manufacturing, design, packaging, and prototyping

  • The ability to quickly make tradeoffs and decisions to drive progress

  • Knowledge of prototype process low volume manufacturing and fabrication with quality, cost, and timing tradeoffs

  • The ability to use CAD to design parts

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent

  • A minimum of 5 years of production development

  • Strong team work skills, the ability to collaborate, and a positive attitude.
