What We're Looking For:

The Public Health Special Projects Coordinator will be responsible for managing the content calendar, outreach efforts and social media presence of various marketing website properties that focus on mental health degrees such as public health, counseling, social work, and education. They will be working with employees from different departments across 2U including, but not limited to, the content editing, SEO, brand marketing and marketing operations analyst teams. The Special Projects Coordinator will also work with experts to create and promote high quality content such as infographics and blog post. They will also be responsible for managing various special projects across 2U assets to drive high quality organic web traffic to our digital marketing 2U assets.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

  • Working with a wide variety of 2U employees and external vendors, often remotely, on brainstorming, storyboarding, scheduling content creation projects and holding others to deadlines.

  • Advising and editing the visual appearance, structure and format of web pages and videos.

  • Ensuring content is optimized for search engines.

  • Promoting content via email, social media. Researching the right people to reach out to and determining the most persuasive language to use to achieve the desired result.

  • Promoting content and gathering feedback within 2U from admissions and student support team on the resources we've created.

  • Researching and understanding the needs of professionals and ensuring our content speaks to those needs

  • Using analytics tools to facilitate and measure work.

  • Ensuring that content creation goals align with top-level company goals.

Things That Should Be In Your Background:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a research and content creating intensive field.

  • Experience or knowledge in the mental health field.

  • Experience in writing and editing.

  • Experience scheduling and organizing large research projects

  • Experience managing many working relationships on a complicated, long term project.

VIEW JOBS 12/7/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-07T00:00 Reporting to the Director, the Associate Director is responsible for managing the priorities and goals of the Office of External Relations and Development, working closely with the Director and the Vice Dean. The Associate Director is responsible for developing unique and/or complicated fundraising materials and works closely with the Director and Vice Dean on any special projects. The Associate Director manages gift contributions, oversees the department's planned giving efforts, and coordinates stewardship for the School's Board of Overseers. This individual will meet core and partnership values of teamwork, integrity, accountability, and respect. Responsibilities: 1.Coordinates Board of Overseers stewardship and communications, including the timely creation and distribution of annual reports, mass mailings, and targeted outreach. Supports the Director and Vice Dean with assessing Board of Overseers giving and involvement. Assists in the planning and execution of semi-annual Board of Overseers meetings, including compiling presentation content and preparing meeting minutes, when needed. Maintains the dedicated Board of Overseers webpage. 2.Applies institutional knowledge and writing expertise to develop various materials for use in the fundraising process, including complicated major gift proposals and tasks related to the solicitation of, and management of relationships with, principal gift prospects. 3.Writes and edits donor correspondence for the Dean of the School as well as the Vice Dean of External Relations and Development. 4.Works with the Director of Special Projects to support and facilitate various projects across the Office of External Relations on an ad hoc basis, such as data collection, departmental updates, editorial review, financial reporting, creating power point presentations for the Vice Dean of External Relations for both internal and external uses, etc. Liaises with the Dean's Office, as needed, on behalf of the Vice Dean and Director of Special Projects. 5.Oversees the Office of External Relations' planned giving efforts and liaises with the University's Office of Gift Planning with regard to planned giving communication and gift tracking. Manages the development and execution of effective marketing strategies, stewardship initiatives, data analyses, and the School's planned giving webpage. 6.Additional duties include interacting with the University's Office of Alumni and Development and other departments where appropriate and providing logistical support where needed for External Relations events. Minimum Qualifications for Grade Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Bachelor's degree and/or its equivalent required. Minimum 3-5 years related experience required. Additional Position-Specific Minimum Qualifications Applicant MUST meet these minimum qualifications to be considered an applicant Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a high-volume environment, with a foundation of tact and diplomacy. Must be motivated, proactive, innovative, and collaborative with a strong attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written, are required. Must have superior Microsoft Office skills, particularly power point and excel, as well as excellent communications and writing skills. Experience in development writing, research, and/or prospect management is a plus. The ability to exercise discretion and judgment in sensitive and confidential matters is required. Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings is required. Candidates chosen for interviews will be asked to submit writing samples and references.
