As a Special Programs Coordinator for Career Readiness at the University Career Center, you will play a vital role in supporting the Assistant Director of Career Readiness in shaping and implementing career readiness programs and initiatives. You will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to integrate career readiness into curriculum and university. This position requires a dynamic individual with a passion for career development, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The Special Programs Coordinator for Career Readiness is a part of the Career Development Team and reports directly to the Assistant Director of Career Readiness and works closely with the Associate Director and Career Consultants. It is imperative that this position demonstrates strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. In addition to utilizing excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders.

Strong organizational and strategic planning abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educational institutions, students, and employers.
Proficiency in managing multiple projects simultaneously with high attention to detail.
Direct Career Services and career advising experience, as well as experience in program development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Career Readiness to develop and implement programs, workshops, and build relationships with stakeholders to enhance students' career readiness.
Stay informed about trends and best practices in career development, employment, and higher education, incorporating this knowledge into program planning and delivery.
Collaborate with Career Consultants, the Associate Director, and other UCC team members on programming/programs related to career readiness and NACE Competencies.
Present presentations requested by various departments, organizations, and faculty within the university.
Prepare reports, surveys, analyze data, and gather feedback to continuously improve and refine career readiness programs.
Provide individual career coaching services to students and alumni in all aspects of the career development process.
Periodically engage in activities beyond the regular office hours of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, to accommodate presentations and events. Flexibility regarding evenings and weekends might be required based on the demands of the situation.

Remote Work Statement
After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
