Responsibilities

The Special Procedures Tech performs imaging utilizing the appropriate equipment for the purpose of diagnosis and treatment planning with regards to patient care. The incumbent demonstrates competency in skills necessary to care for patients served.

Graduate of an AMA-Approved Radiologic Technology Program. Competent to perform multiple types of Imaging including Fluoro, X-Ray, involving Emergency Room Patients, surgical patients, inpatients and outpatients. High familiarity with all Intervention procedures including Ultrasound and Cat Scan guided studies.

Good technical and communication skills required. Ability to work with all levels from staff to physicians. Ability to triage quickly in a fast paced work environment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Vocational diploma from an AMA approved radiologic technology program Over 6 months to 1 year In the Interventional field required Associate's Degree from an AMA approved radiologic technology program And Over 1 year to 3 years experience as an Imaging Services Technologist preferred SKILLS AND ABILITIES:- Ability to make quality, independent decisions, required- Demonstrated written communication skills, required- Strong verbal communication and listening skills, required- Effective interpersonal skills, required- Service-oriented, required- Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills, required- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines, high volumes and multiple interruptions. , required- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities, requiredLICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:Radiological Technologist Certified, Upon hire, required

Responsibilities The Medical Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic testing in Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology and Blood Bank following established practices and standards. Performs phlebotomy as needed. Demonstrates competent knowledge and skills to ensure quality results. Special pay program Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors in Medical Technology or Associate's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent required Minimum of 1 year clinical laboratory experience preferred Blood Bank experience requiredSKILLS AND ABILITIES:-Receives assignments according to the established departmental procedures and plans, organizes and prioritizes work duties to accomplish daily objectives.-Performs testing procedures and related work according to established protocols and standards with minimal technical and/or data entry error in order to report results to the requesting party.-Operates equipment and works with highly technical instrumentation according to established procedures and protocols in order to assure the accuracy of test results.-Performs equipment maintenance and repair according to operator's manuals in order to facilitate testing procedures and avoid down-time.-Assays appropriate controls, stands, and other quality control material according to protocol in order to maintain the testing environment.-Performs venipunctures according to established protocols and procedures so as to provide the best possible specimen for analysis.-Instructs clinical students and new employees as needed to maintain adequate proficiency.-Covers on-call time or other shifts in times of emergencies/shortages in order to maintain laboratory minimum staffing levels.-Performs other duties as assigned in order to assure that departmental objectives are fulfilled.LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:Credentialed by an agency approved by the National Commission for Health Certifying Agencies (NCHCA), i.e. ASCP, HEW, HCA., Upon hire, required Grand View Hospital Sellersville PA
