Lyft is looking for a Special Operations Lead to join our Rockies Operations team. Our team is growing rapidly and we're looking for a strategic individual who has led complex cross-functional initiatives and wants to make a big impact at a fast-growing company. The ideal candidate is a natural leader who is business-savvy, data focused, versatile and exceptionally driven.

This role requires flexibility and a willingness to help out wherever needed you may be developing and executing a plan to reduce airport citations one day and managing venue operations for major local events the next.


  • Support the market General Manager and Operations Manager by serving as the owner for important initiatives that will drive impact locally. This includes development of strategies, project management, and ongoing operational support. Examples include:

  • Partner with cross-functional teams across operations, compliance, government relations, marketing, analytics, and product / engineering to develop and implement the initiatives above

Experience & Skills:

  • 4+ years of diverse work experience, preferably a combination of management consulting and business operations; high-growth or early-stage start-up experience a plus

  • Experience managing large cross-functional projects and teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and collaborate up and down the organization

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for internal and external stakeholders

  • Passion and resourcefulness to solve ambiguous, undefined problems

  • A versatile, team player - you're willing to help out wherever needed

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Qualifications: * At least eight years of experience in internal or marketing communications, and/or public relations. * Bachelor's degree (no specific subject) or commensurate experience. * Demonstrated superior verbal/writing/editing/proofreading ability (samples required; interview process includes writing exercise). * Ability to effectively organize material and create lively and appealing content. * Ability to get up to speed quickly on organizational structure and culture. * Expertise in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint skills would be a plus). * Ability to handle confidential information and interact effectively at all levels. * Excellent time and project management skills. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in financial services and/or other highly regulated industry. * Experience working with Operations and Technology teams. * Exposure to Agile, Six Sigma and/or Lean.
