SRC, Inc. is seeking a senior-level Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineer for a Special Mission Aircraft Engineer position. The selected candidate must be a highly motivated, self-directed engineer with experience performing scientific and technical (S&TI) all-source analysis on foreign aircraft with previous analysis of Special Mission Aircraft preferred. Experience supporting/operating with U.S. Special Mission Aircraft such as the Rivet Joint, Combat Sent, or JSTARS is highly desired. The Engineer will be a part of a team immersed in high-demand, national-level intelligence reporting.
What You'll Do
Experience identifying datalink and communications systems critical to the operation and functionality of Special Mission Aircraft is a plus
Ability to effectively collect information and evaluate to determine relevancy and accuracy of systems and subsystems for specified aviation subjects
Demonstrated ability of documenting work, with sourcing, that results in comprehensive technical analysis reports of aviation-related subjects
Specific experience providing written all-source assessments that meet both ICD 203 and NASIC or other Intelligence Production Center (IPC) analytical tradecraft standards regarding characteristics, performance, capabilities, and vulnerabilities of foreign aviation subjects is highly desirable
Experience working with Microsoft Office tools and applications
Experience working with SAVANT/KPS data tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; demonstrated ability to brief findings to customer or managers
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 10+ years related experience with S&TI of foreign Special Mission Aircraft or comparable experience with U.S. military special mission aviation, avionics, airborne reconnaissance platforms, or airborne battle management platforms
An active TS/SCI clearance is required
Professional experience with Special Mission Aircraft preferred
Experience performing classified and unclassified research on performance, characteristics, capabilities, and vulnerabilities of aviation subjects
Experience with written all-source assessments that meet ICD 203 and NASIC or other IPC analytical tradecraft standards
