Job Overview:

Strategize, prioritize and drive PR initiatives for 59th Street for all internal and external special events, promotions and partnerships. Execute high performance events aligned to company business and marketing objectives. Act as liaison between Central organization and 59th Street to convey PR programs to ensure excitement of Bloomingdale's Flagship. Aligned with the central vision, the Manager will create animation to drive traffic and enhance sales.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of in-store event planning and execution.

  • Develop community relations strategies involving charitable giving, in-kind donations and in-store special events.

  • Enhance the brand within the community by securing event sponsorships and co-branding opportunities.

  • Partner with Central Media and Social Media teams on opportunities and outreach to support company initiatives.

  • Manage budgets and administrative duties related to events.

  • Partner with central PR to support Bloomingdale's philanthropic initiatives.

  • Partner with 59th Street senior team, buyers, and vendors to plan and execute special events.

  • Execute central core marketing objectives and strategies to roll out creative programs.

  • Ability to work as a strong leader with peers and store management team.

  • Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

  • 4 year college degree.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience, preferably within Retail, Fashion, Magazine, and/or PR Agency.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and analytical skills.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to manage projects and prioritize next steps with diverse peer and senior teams.

  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:

  • This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting, hearing, and talking.

  • May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching.

  • May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

  • Involves ability to use computer, mouse, keyboard which may involve manual dexterity.

  • May be a need to move or lift items under 10 pounds.

Job Overview: The Department Manager drives sales, service, loyalty and high value client relationships through their Sales Professionals to deliver the plan. The Department Manager is responsible for providing specific guidance and development to their Sales Professionals, strategic eventing, and managing their stock by responding to market and fashion trends. Highly visible on the selling floor, the DM ensures the customer experience is the number one priority and empowers associates to provide seamless service. Essential Functions: People readiness: Delivers available, informed and elevated sellers.
