PURPOSE OF YOUR POSITION Performs a variety of routine duties in support of customer service at athletic tournaments and other special events, including assisting at the Cornerstone Kitchen; attending in parking areas; assisting with basic cleaning and trash management and/or related activities. Primarily works on a per diem basis at specified events. GENERAL INFORMATION Must possess responsibility to attend to work performed, customer focused service including presenting a positive image to the general public, being cordial, and recognizing customers in need of assistance. Reliability is necessary to ensure availability as needed for providing support to an event to ensure a quality customers/attendee experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Moderate physical activity. Requires handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to walk and stand for more than four (4) hours per day. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises. Work may be performed both indoors or outdoors with exposure to the seasonal weather conditions. ions. QUALIFICATIONS Requires less than high school with an ability to add, subtract, read and communicate effectively; follow routine verbal and written instructions; ability to handle and secure cash. Requires knowledge of customer service standards and procedures. Requires knowledge of parking procedures at special events. Previous related experience preferred but not required. Requires at least being 16 years of age with appropriate work permits available at time of hire in accordance with Pennsylvania School Law. Requires ability to work various hours including weekends. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and an FBI criminal history check required. Work requires almost constant interpersonal contact to exchange information and assist customers. Work requires basic analytical ability to follow standard methods, guidelines and procedures. Work requires frequent mental focus and attention to detail with equipment, facilities and particularly when functioning as an attendant in the parking areas.
