Title: Special Education Teaching Assistant (1.0 FTE)

Position Summary:
Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School is looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide academic support for students with disabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities(Not limited to):
The teaching assistant's role is to support students in the general education classroom. On a daily basis the teaching assistant will be:

• Re-teaching academic skills

• Assisting students with the completion of assignments, quizzes, and tests

• Providing support in the general education curriculum

• Reporting to the Special Education Liaison assigned to the student(s)

Qualifications:

• Minimum of an associate's degree, bachelor's degree preferred

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Capacity to work as a member of a team

• Applicant must be a self-starter and flexible

• Must be the kind of person who is warm, caring, respectful, and has a strong desire to work with students, as well as a willingness to learn

Experience Preferable:

• Experience working with high school students with mild to moderate emotional issues

• Familiarity with high school curriculum and content areas

Salary Range:

• $26.73/hour - $35.68/hour
