District 87 is home to one high school, one junior high, six elementary schools, and one early childhood school. We also have the Bloomington Area Career Center which provides career exploration opportunities to high school students at Bloomington High School and surrounding school districts.

Our district is committed to investing in YOU! Because we want our new staff to feel prepared for the start of the year, we will be providing a paid, 4-day onboarding experience for all teachers who are new to District 87 this coming August. This training opportunity will allow you to learn about your building, our district, our District 87 community and provides you with time to set up your classroom/workspace prior to the school year.

Please review the attached job description, union agreement and benefits summary in the bottom right-hand corner. Salary range for the 2023-24 school year was $42,217-$106,590 depending on education level and years of applicable teaching experience as outlined in the union agreement. Salary compensation information for the 2024-25 school year will be provided when the union agreement is finalized.

Qualified candidates must have their ISBE PreK license and their special education endorsement OR ISBE PEL endorsed in LBSI with ECSE approval.
