JOIN OUR TEAM - SPED
The preferred candidates will have skills and experience working with elementary special education students who have mild to moderate disabilities. The ability to deliver explicit instruction in the area of social & emotional skills are required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Washington State Certificate* with K-12 Special Education endorsement required.
Teachers with multiple certificate endorsements are preferred.
Teachers holding or pursuing National Board Certification preferred.
Expertise in reading strategies and instruction; reading in the content area.
Successful teaching or student teaching experience.
Knowledge of, and experience, teaching standards-based curriculum.
Strong classroom management skills.
Strong communication skills and flexibility.
Understanding of current state-adopted standards appropriated to the position growth.
