About the Employer

The Guadalupe Union School District (K-8) is located on the beautiful California Central Coast, approximately 70 miles north of Santa Barbara and 32 miles south of San Luis Obispo. The city which is situated in the northwest section of Santa Barbara County has a population of approximately 7,000 residents.

Guadalupe is located in the rural agricultural section of the greater Santa Maria Valley. Agriculture is the biggest industry in and around the city. Our district serves families of Guadalupe as well as families from neighboring areas.

Many of our students come from migrant families. Enrollment in August 2020 was 1,271 students in Kindergarten through 8th Grade. The student population is 96.37% Hispanic, 2.04% White, .30% Black, .30% Filipino, .23% Asian and .53% American Indian or Alaska Native, and .23% Other. The District's certificated staff includes 36 teachers at Mary Buren Elementary School (K-4 Self-Contained) and 27 teachers at Kermit McKenzie Intermediate School (5th

Comments and Other Information

The District offers health benefits for both employees and families. There are four plans that the employee can choose from. Each plan provides a different level of coverage and cost. The negotiated settlement that the District pays for the annual cap for health benefits for certificated staff is $11,000. Dental and vision plans are included. Salary Range: $58,369-$102,894/annual
